#ThrowbackThursday A great power song for the world, this is definitely one of the main U2 hits that comes to mind. Also, it's the second greatest song of the 90's, according to VH1 (#1 was Nirvana). So yeah, enjoy!
This is an incredibly lovely song. I mean, it took some time to grow on me, but eventually I had a moment when no other stations were playing anything worth hearing and landed back on Cat Country where this was playing. When that happened, finally, I about melted in the car. I'm a sucker for driving songs to begin with, and with this one being about a love reignited by a song well, that was that. Also, if you're wondering where Keith Urban is in this song, I think he's got the lead guitar part, and sings a few lines toward the end. I haven't watched the video yet though, so I reserve the right to stand corrected.
... and now I'm in tears.
For my angel soldier here on earth - Kiara. For my angels in heaven and the service they gave - Brad & Poppop. Happy Memorial Day, and thank you.
Sometimes, you get the urge to go out and be crazy. Sometimes, you get that urge and it goes unfulfilled for months on end. And sometimes, you post about it because after months of waiting, you're STILL going to be waiting tonight.
Classic. Awesome. Happy Friday! Enough reasons for this today, instead of the originally planned Tom Petty song my cousin got into my head. Basically, it's been a bad week. A bad couple of weeks in some respects. So today, I finally decided to get on track and start my couch to 5K program. 10 blocks away from my apartment, massive NYC downpour. PS - never running in a white t-shirt every again. Anywhos, this one came on as I was edging in on my apartment again, finally. So yeah, hope?
I adore this song. Every single time I hear it, I feel so uplifted and happy and just want to dance like an idiot around my room. I bring it up today just out of having heard it at the end of an episode of "New Girl" (gotta love catching up on TV!) and renewing, yet again, my love for this song. Too much fun. |
