Rachele Lynae - "Whole Lotta Nothin'"

1/6/2015

It's time to feel some semblance of warmth in this horrible cold, and Rachele Lynae is back with new music to help us out with just that. Come check out her new single, which isn't actually on the debut album (so fingers crossed for at LEAST a new EP???)!

Jacob Martin Band - "Look At What You Started"

I've been following this band on Instagram for a bit now (they take some pretty killer band photos, btw), and am proud to watch one of my friends from college, Jeff Coggins, fulfilling what seems like a dream. The band put out their EP recently, titled the same as this song, and it's not doing too badly!

The band's sound is easy. The vocals are just rugged enough to feel a little more badass, and the beat is steady and just country enough to get your foot tapping. The production's solid and clean, and this would easily fit in on any major station - hope to hear it on one sooner than later!

Help Me Help You - "Fall Is Coming"

I've had the pleasure of seeing this band live twice, and they never disappoint - they only get better. Now, hearing them recorded, I'm loving this even more. Live is just full of energy and recorded you get the full impact of what the song could mean to you.

What I find interesting, and have the past times I've heard this one, is the change-up in the rhythms. You're never allowed to get quite too comfortable with one sound at a time, so you're awake and paying attention throughout.

New Music Tuesday's all about showing more of you pieces of this musical world you shouldn't miss out on - so take a listen, and feel it.

We're even getting extra nice and giving you a listen right on this page!! YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE NOW. :) ThxSoMch.

PS - Concert photos coming. Eventually. Come on y'all, you know I'm good for them. ;)

Lowhency Pierre - "Lost Souls"

I love breaking music on Tuesdays, and never any more than when I know the artist personally. This week we have a newly released track by Lowhency Pierre, a great R&B artist and close friend. His voice is incredibly smooth, and you'll totally be able to mellow out after your long Tuesday to this sound.

No iTunes link for you guys this time, so just go ahead and give this one a listen on Spotify and get some listens on that counter!

Fozzy - "SOS"

So I'm a little late on the Podcast bandwagon, but y'all know when I find something like this, I tend to latch on like crazy. It probably doesn't help that I found all the wrestling-related ones and am currently playing catch up on every one of them.

First up has been "Talk is Jericho," hosted by future-hall-of-famer Chris Jericho. He basically lives my dream work life of being a Pro-Wrestler AND the front man for a rock band, Fozzy, not to mention being seemingly a completely fun and dorky person - meaning that he has supreme confidence in himself to say and do whatever the hell he wants. I respect this guy more than even I realized after these years of being a loyal WWE fan.

That said, Chris is off TV for a while and on tour in support of Fozzy's latest album, "Do You Wanna Start A War." In listening to this Podcast (see, I CAN bring things full circle!), he's been playing the songs, one by one, and each has been better than the last. This one took me by complete surprise. I'm a big fan of "Mama Mia," if not ABBA themselves, and this new version of this song blows the old one out of the water!! Worth every penny people - please don't walk; run instead, and get to listening. There's no cowbell here, but it's okay; you'll still love it.

So when you're near me, darling can't you hear me
S.O.S.
The love you gave me, nothing else can save me
S.O.S.
When you're gone
How can I even tried to go on?

Station - "Everything"

It's Tuesday, and that means I've got some good music to share that you probably haven't heard yet. Fools, all of you, until you start listening.

I mean that in the nicest way possible!! Y'all know how much I love my readers!

Anywhos, this week I want to share a friend's band with y'all. This is Station - the best live rock band I've seen in their area. Granted, they all have hair longer than mine, but they can throw it around like no one else. The music's incredible to boot, which is why I'm so excited that they just finished up their first full-length album! (We'll get that posted when it's all ready, no worries to you new fans I hope are being won over today.)

Check out this and more of their music, and most importantly, if they're touring anywhere remotely close to you (I'm giving you a 6-hour driving window here people), GO SEE THIS BAND.

Maggie Chapman - "Unbreak"

Someone directed me to Maggie Chapman a little while back, and this is the first time I've gotten around to really hearing her. The vocals are airy and pleasant, with just a nice sweetness to them. She's got a very simple sound instrumentally, with an interesting layering of harmonies as the song goes on. Overall, someone to check out for sure for this little New Music Tuesday.

Leaving Richmond - "Reach Out for a Moment, For Eternity"

No iTunes link today because this is a cool preview of upcoming music! Leaving Richmond is a fantastic ambient band that we've reviewed before here - and loved. I've also had the pleasure of speaking with them personally, and talk about nice to top it all off.

In this new track (complimented by fantastic artwork, I gotta say), there's just the right mix of celestial and movement. Your heart still beats fast with it, but you get the floating sensation of the sky. All around, this most definitely has me already excited for the new music!

Rachele Lynae - "Sometimes You Fly"

Download the song!
Download the WHOLE ALBUM!!
A long time in the making, Rachele Lynae is dropping her debut album today!! Celebrate with me and check it out as soon as you can. You thought the singles and the party pack were good? This is an incredible collection of great music applicable for anything you need it for. Rachele goes from a country party girl to a heartbroken yet strong woman, belting out a sore hurt that'll reach you like nothing else. Her quiet voice is just as powerful, and the musical backing is really incredibly done. Kudos to the whole band and team for this project, and best to Rachele and this exciting time!

Could this be me, falling in love
Letting my guard down, dropping my gloves
Thinking just one time maybe
You could be the one to save me
Could you be just another regret
Or maybe my best thing yet
I won't know if I don't try
Sometimes you fall
Sometimes you fly

The Black Hollies - "Wake Me When It's Over"

4/15/2014

In today's edition of New Music Tuesday, I want to share a band that's well, not new, but new this year to me. I have the honor of actually knowing a couple of the members, and while I haven't seen them perform live yet, I listened to a live radio performance a few weeks back, and it was really awesome! The band's got a sound I think a lot of you out there will dig, with some kind of punk psychedelic vibe happening. They're a Jersey rock band unlike anything you've been into before, and I can't wait to sit and do a full album review here! Go on and take a listen, and grove/headbang along with the music.
