| I've been a fan of Sugarland for a while now, really admiring Jennifer Nettles' unique voice and approach to singing. It's country, but she's got a great style going on. I got worried about her solo career, but as long as she's still singing, I think we can all agree it's a good thing. "Thank You" came on as I just pressed 'random' and 'play' on Spotify, and I think it was a great way to start. It's very simplistic musically, and it's very sweet overall. You could take this to mean whatever you darn well please along the way, dedicating it to whomever you want. It's got a very different melodic approach in parts that I definitely wasn't expecting, and leaves me interested in seeing what else she's going to serve up. |
