It's not a pop song, but it's not one that hits too hard either. Just right for some reason, and the subject matter isn't all that happy either. It's asking someone if you can be their memory, though the thought or occurrence may never actually happen. But the memories and feelings that go with them are so very much.
Ever have that morning when Pandora loads just enough for you to enjoy an entire awesome song before the connection cuts out in the subway? Maybe that's just me. But today it was "Memory." Rarely do I let it show on my face just how great what I'm listening to is (come on, I'm a New Yorker - have to keep that steely face to make it through the crowds without bother), but I basically danced my way to the Q this morning. It's not a pop song, but it's not one that hits too hard either. Just right for some reason, and the subject matter isn't all that happy either. It's asking someone if you can be their memory, though the thought or occurrence may never actually happen. But the memories and feelings that go with them are so very much. And to think, I almost changed the station as this song came on.
