Last week I featured a song by Dylan Connor, and this week I want to bring y'all Omnia Hegazy, who opened for him in the same inspirational small concert I saw a few weeks back. She's got this style I just couldn't get enough of; there's middle eastern influence in her singing and the way she uses her voice, but a singer/songwriter great guitarist leading the inspirational words. And man, talk about passion for something. This girl is standing up for something that is clearly important and close to her heart, and my respect and admiration go out to her for sure.
This song in particular took a minute, but grew on me throughout. It makes your heart race and want to do something in response. Quite literally, it's a call to action and could very well serve as an anthem for rights.
Because songs define our moments.
